Don`t Spoil Nature!

We mustn`t, exactly mustn`t spoil nature!
Who gives us such a right?
We were born by Mother-Nature not to kill her! But, it seems, we are going to...
Before the mines and factories came, and long before we went from bad to worse with our arterial roads and petrol stations and horrible brick buildings, this Planet must have been enchantment. Oh, God! How beautiful our Planet must have been!
But I, and, I hope we all want our children live in a lovely planet. It must be a planet happily compromising between Nature and Man, blending what was best worth retaining from the past with what best represents the spirit of own age!
And we really can do it! We can just not to break off branches of trees and bushes, avoid throwing litter and rubbish about, but put it in plastic bags and take it to the next place where waste is collected... It`s so simple! But if we all will follow these rules, our Planet will thank us!

Is It Hard to Be a Parent with Special Needs?

Is it hard to be a parent with special needs?
Certainly it is.

In «I Am Sam», we can see the difficulties such parent has to face and, the most important thing, how it will be hard to retain the right to be a parent for him.
Sam Dawson is an adult with a child's intellect, but he is an incredibly kind, sincere and honest person. Even sugar packets in the coffee shop he lays out the order with such care that you believe this man loves everything on the planet. Ignorance of some educational moments Sam compensates for absolute dedication and attention to his child. Alas, the modern society is not ready to accept the idea that for successful education of a child you should just genuinely love him and give him the proper attention and care.
The film is just permeated with love, warmth, kindness, and good grief. It shows a sincere love as it should be. The point here is not in Sam`s intellect. The film tells us that everyone can love and everyone needs love. Does such feeling like love depend on the ability to multiply the number or know the names of all the U.S. presidents? No fear. Parents give moral education and ideas of goodness, evil, honesty and compassion. And all this things Sam has taught his beloved daughter.
This film shows us how it hard to be a good parent, but that it`s possible. Even if you are an adult with a child's intellect.

"I Did Knock"

It`s a great fairy tale for children, which makes us believe in magic and offers us to take a part in a short journey into the life of a large family, which also lacked a bit of magic...
The owner of funeral Mr. Brown is a widower and a having many children… oh, well, a having very many children father. Seven restless unruly offsprings are always driving him crazy by ugly hooligan pranks.  And I must say, they cope with it quite well – a demoralized father, himself almost a child, looks like mad, thinks bad, and during attacks of melancholy talking to an empty chair.
Also there are female servants in the story. The maid Evangeline and the cook Blezervik get a lot more from little devils. They resist desperately, but two people cannot resist to a gang of little varmints. After all, none of the seventeen nannies, who were hired by Mr. Brown, didn`t deal with them. And no one else wants to work for Browns. But, one day in the late evening ...
Late one evening, a new nanny knocked on the door - Nanny McPhee: ugly, with an ugly protruding tooth, warts and a big nose, leaning on the curve (and of course, magic) stick. She would look quite repulsive if not a wise, insightful and thoughtful look. With her appearance there is everything has changed in the house. But the children are very unhappy. Now, any their prank harms to themselves.
«When you need me, but do not want me, then I must stay. When you want me, but no longer need me, then I have to go». This Nanny McPhee`s main phrase causes a children protest: Never! Never such ugly, breaking their fun and uncontrolled freedom, she would be desirable. And of course, they're wrong.
Nanny McPhee says her aim is to teach the children five lessons. They are to say "Thank you" and "Please", go to to bed and to get up when them told and to listen to others attentively. During learning these lessons, the children will have to grow up very quickly - they will realize that their family, its unity, is very important for them, but that it is in a very precarious position. The father is deep in debt, and they can be sent to an asylum, if they cannot cope with their selfishness and accept what they fear the most - the evil stepmother. At the same time as they get rid of their inner ugliness, the Nanny is changing in appearance and turning from a witch into a fairy. Because, only overcoming the evil in yourself, you can see the true beauty.

My First Acting Experience

For many years, my mother worked as a music teacher in a kindergarten. And when I was 11, my mother asked me to play the role of Tsarevna Never-a-Smile at the children's Christmas matinee. I do not know why it was up to me to play this role, but I was very pleased.
For two weeks I learned the text and we rehearsed it every evening. And then came a day of the dress rehearsal with other actors. Everything was well until the time I should sing. The music started, but I didn`t dare to say a word. I felt fear and embarrassment. But my fear had nothing to do with the fear of the stage. It was the fear that my mother will fill disappoint for me rather than the fear of the stage. I do not really remember what happened next, but I performed well. Before I started to sing  there was only one phrase: "Right now," in my head and then started. The matinee went well and everyone liked it. And I am very glad that I had a chance to try myself as an actress.
I'll never forget my first acting experience.

A Good Teacher is NOT a Boring One

The success of edu-cating and upbrin-ging of children de-pends on the perso-nality of a teacher, his professional skills, moral prin-ciples, erudition and cultural back-ground. This noble profession demands from a teacher’s constant creativity, understanding of children and love for them.
I reckon that a really good teacher can hardly be a boring one. The teacher must be a model of com-petence, so he is a person who is learning as well as teaching all his life. That`s why he must be aware of all new educational programs, be in a constant searching of interesting techniques to carry out them at lectures to keep pupils interested in the subject he teaches and so on.
A good teacher tre-ats his pupils with respect and values them as individuals. He understands that each child is unique and has special ta-lents and capabili-ties. That’s why he educates each pupil with special atten-tion to his or her interests and encourages each one to make his best in life. He helps children to develop their critical and creative thinking, to form their views and characters, their attitudes to life and to other people. He teaches them to work independently and cooperatively, to be helpful and useful. But a plain boring teacher can not do it: a teacher who doesn`t see the children`s individuals, who are not excited by the educational process itself and just work for money.
A good teacher will do his best to bring up honest and considerate, patient and tactful, self-confident, objec-tively-minded and self-disciplined people, able to face many challenges of adult life in a rapidly changing world. Not boring teachers` lessons are always inte-resting, catchy and un-usual; students want to attend them themselves. I am very lucky that we are taught by such te-achers: they are never lazy, always prepare something exciting for our lectures and involve us in new activities. Thanks to our teachers, we have learned how to make great presentations, photo stories, blogs, had a chance to turn into actors, directors, cameramen, writers, and I even have learned how to make cookies:) I thank them for it very much and for the great emotions that we have got. I hope one day I will also become a good not boring teacher and my students will be leveled at me.

A Mystical Story "The Distant Clank of Keys"

There is a popular myth about a grocer named John Komrad, who lived in the XIXth century. John was the only grocer throughout the Krivens Hall. He liked his labor, and it has never been a burden for him. Hundreds of people bought his products and never complained about their quality.
One day, Earl Krivens has decided to have a feast. He needed a grocer. He telegraphed his intentions to Mr. Komrad. He seemed never willing to execute Earl`s orders, because everyone knew that he was very angry, ruthless and cruel man. But, also, he was a man of undoubted importance, so John executed all his orders. Mr. Komrad brought all the products on time, took the money and was going to go home, but for better or worse he has met his old friend Tom Sappers. They have decided to go to the pub to talk about their lives and to celebrate the meeting.
On John`s journey from the pub a terrible storm has started. John has remembered that his way goes through Krivens`s estate and hurried there. On his request to spend the night in his house Earl  laughed wickedly and said that the grocer, a man of a lower class, would not sleep in his house.
"But sir, - begged John – there is a terrible storm, rain and strong wind outdoors. Please, allow me to wait out the storm in your house. When it's over, I'll go at once. "
"I will give you the keys of the shed - you can spend the night there, if you find them".
Earl laughed, threw the keys into the decorative pond, located in the yard, and slammed the door.
John was extremely indignant and humiliated by the act of the Earl, but he had no choice. Mr. Komrad was searching for the key in the pond for a brief time, but as soon as he had found them, the lightning hit directly at him, and he fell dead.
People of Krivens Hall buried their favorite grocer for their own money, because he hadn`t a family, but the Earl did not give any penny. Since then, the Earl had nightmares, he has lost his appetite and suffered by visions and hallucinations. The servants said that it was his punishment by the ghost of John Komrad. They often heard a distant clank of keys because of which, as they claimed,  the grocer had died. One month later, the Earl was found dead. He has drowned in the decorative pond in the yard.

My Review of the "Driving Lessons"

Learning is understanding of the world around us. Books, no doubt, are a great source of knowledge as they give us an idea about a particular subject in detail. But all that one could learn from it is limited to the level of knowing how a certain phenomenon occurs, or how a certain concept works. The knowledge gained through books by themselves cannot help anybody, because what one learns in the book must be applied in real life. For instance, a person who wants to learn driving can go through various manuals and guides that teach people how to drive, but all this knowledge is useful when you are actually driving the car on the roads. It would be an utter waste of time if one just reads the books and does not use this knowledge for practical purpose. The main character of the film that we watched in class, doesn`t have enough practice and experience, too. He has a driving test soon, but he still confuses the gas and brake…
Ben is busy on his summer holiday with the Bible study, housework and driving lessons, which he receives from his powerful and very religious mother. Also, in fact, his mother uses these lessons as a cover of cheating on her husband. It obviously can't be a dream for a seventeen-year-old boy, but he has no choice. However, his life begins to change when he find a job helping Evie, a rather vulgar, confident, but childish at the same time, former first lady of British theater and cinema.
As Evie said, "Life is a strange thing. When we think that everything is over, it shows such a landscape. And we don`t know where we are, what we are..." Thus, a retired lady appears in the life of a guy and is to turn upside down his understanding of everything. Evie lives every second, she loves life and enjoys all new experiences. In other words, she is a complete and unconditional opposite of Ben. So far. She breathes into him a breath of fresh air, making it clear that only he is free to decide their own destiny and make their own choices. "You can tell God I forced you". Soon, however, she does not have to force.
Spiritual intimacy combined these characters. They could not fail to become friends. "You have a poet's soul, and it is much more important than it looks." They both changed each other.
This film is mostly not about driving lessons, but the real-life lessons that Ben received from Evie. Thanks to Evie he finally sees what beautiful and varied life is, plunging into life with his head. Experience is the best teacher. Without Evie, Ben would be sitting in the church with his very religious mother all his life and will never see all that God has created for him.

My Professional Choice

Finishing school is the beginning of an independent life for millions of school-leavers, such like me two years ago. It is the beginning of a far more serious examination of your knowledge, abilities and character. All roads were open before me. But actually it is very difficult to make up one`s mind and choose one of the hundreds of jobs. While at school I changed my mind a lot of times and couldn`t decide which  field   to specialize in.
While choosing a job many factors were taken into my consideration: wages and salaries, job-satisfaction, opportunities to travel and to see much, etc. For me, the most important criterion is job-satisfaction, and that’s why I have chosen the profession of a teacher.
Teaching is a very specific and responsible occupation. Not everyone has enough courage tо accept this responsibility. I believe teaching to be a very valuable and challenging profession that requires complete dedication, love of the subject and lots of enthusiasm.
However, there are also disadvantages that apply to the teaching profession not only in our country but in other countries as well. It is regarded in many societies as low-status and underpaid work. Luckily my main interest is not money but the belief that education js very important for the success and progress of our society.
Also, the great advantage of a teacher, namely an English teacher, is an opportunity of unlimited communication with foreigners and an opportunity to travel. I have a dream to go on a trip around the world and I believe that my profession can help me in turning this dream into reality.
Since my joining the university, I have never regretted my  choice of the profession. And I hope that one day I can become a Great Good Teacher.
